Are you time travelling :D ... The only true (and totally unique) Bol d'or was at the ricard circuit.

Not even le mans could compare to it.

To Mangy Cours at Nevers?

It's a very small track, the grandstand is uncovered, unlike Le Mans. But, stand on the walkway that crosses the straight you'll see the lights through the gaps and feel the bikes passing underneath.

What I liked the best about Nevers was the looping sections you get IIRC five pieces of of track all populated by bikes, which at silly o'clock watching the sun come up, with the smoke blowing across the track, very nice.

Personally, I'd not rush back to Nevers, I prefer Le Mans, better atmosphere and since moving it to Sept, the weather is far better, but Sept is a long time to wait! Not Paul Ricard t-shirt and shorts, but better than the wonder of varying weather that is April and Northern France (this year in particular) I was in Provence over Easter, not great, but the bull fighting seemed to bring out the sun.

Anyhoo, it's worth going, but you should also take in the Vosges as they're not far away.
