Boot grip on wet roads

If your boots are comfortable but slippery, an option is to contact Richard Kemp AKA “The Tilehurst Cobbler” online or on Facebook and get them resoled with a Vibram sole.

I’ve used Richard for leather and zip repairs to ankle bike boots, he did a perfect repair job.

Will save the link for “The Tilehurst Cobbler” just in case. thank you.

My RST Pathfinder boots are a very nice fit. Apart from the soles being to slippery for me in the wet, there the best boots i have had in my 40 plus years of riding.
Will now use the pathfinder boots from spring onward when wearing my learther trousers. I also have a pair of RST Frontier ankle boots for then i wear my motorcycle jeans. There a nice boot to.

I have now sorted the warranty out using the link given by AA388.

The nice mr postman has just delivered my Daytona boots.
I found them easy to put on, and nice and wide.
There is plenty of room inside them for a pair of thick winter socks.

I also think i was lucky with the price i paid.
There now listed at £448 including the Black Friday discount.
Where i paid just £358 for them as at the time they were £448 not including the black friday discount.

I have the non pro version and they are excellent

So I got out on the bike today and used my new boots for the first time.
It was 3 degrees when i first went out. My feet stayed nice and warm in my thicker winter socks. The grip from the soles was great and i liked how much room my feet had inside the boots to.
The only time my foot slipped was when i put it down on a leaf, but apart from that the grip was good.
I also need to raise the gear changer as the boots are thicker than my other boots.
But all in all i am very happy with them and feel it was money well spent.
