Can any one recommend a MX boot for a big lad?

I have tried a couple on in the past but they always seem to tight around my legs, I need something that goes up to a UK size 12.

Also I don't want to spend a fortune.

Sidi Flexforce have a good bit of adjustment but are an arm and a leg ( over £200 :(
found some here sidi's and they go to euro size 48. I've had a pair for about 6-7 years now and they've saved my bacon on a few occasions.

Hope this helps

I'll second Jez on that score, I've got sidi couriers. good boots. I was young when i bought mine and I'm still wearing them so they must be good. never had wet feet and they feel secure when manouvering with a foot down.
Oh and you can actually walk more than 100 yard in them without getting cramp or looking a tw@

I bought a pair of Alpinestars from Heine Gericke. I can't remember their name but they have a strap with an adjustable velcro closure at the top which makes them a lot more adjustable than most other boots :thumb2

I got bought a set of these from this guy at Xmas, except mine were size 10 and all black.

I normally take a 9 in shoes and these as a 10 are nice and comfy with enough room to put a thick pair of socks on if needed in winter.

They were a bit stiff to break in but I guess thats the nature of the style. There's loads of adjustment in the straps and the top has an velcro fastening.

At 65 quid they're an absolute bargain!!

These are what I've been using for the last few years- they replaced my Sidi Couriers and are great- Very safe (I've used them many many times offroading in Morocco and Morocco is a hard and stony place) but still comfy- £129.99 from Hein Gericke HERE
Mine are size 12 (47) and fit well- though TBH I do have to make sure I cut my toenails 'cos there's not an awful lot of spare room and thick socks make them slightly tight.

The Alpinestars Tech 4 boots as recommended by that fine Mr Mutley are also good boots but are a few quid more.

If I could have any boots I wanted, I'd go for the Aerostich combat boots but you can't get them in the UK and they're bloody expensive.
