Boots: TCX Infinity v HG Rallye GTX 2

The fit of the Daytona Trans Open and the TCX Infinty is very different. Apart from being larger size-for-size, the Daytonas are made for a much wider foot than the TCX.

Daytonas are for Orcs while TCX are for Elves.......:augie

ooh, thanks for that. Would try a pair on first anyway, but do have slim feet, although big :D

:clap
Looking for a pair of new boots - my Styl Martins are 10 yrs old now and already glued one sole back in and never been waterproof.... so looking for a good boot with Goretex or similar. Seen good reviews of the TCX Infinity gore-tex and Hein Gericke do the same version (by all accounts made in the same factory), but about £30 cheaper. Anyone got experience with either? Worth paying the extra for the TCX?

i bought a pair of tcx infinities about six weeks ago from mick byrne (google his shop) they are same price as hg and i can strongly recommend them used them in severe weather coming over the a66 on saturday evening and not a drop got through and snug and warm too

I have a pair of TCX Infinity, for amlost a year now , and my vote goes for TCX.

Really good choice and best value for money, very comfortable, never wet foot, even on heaviest rain. Never hot during 40+ dgerees summer days, even when on all the day on local rally through Serbia from 08-21.

Paid them 175 Euro in Slovenia,

Warmly reccomending...

I have the TCX infinity got them from ebay £148 with free postage. Been great! The straps are a bit of a pain as they have to be adjusted everytime but they went through a massive soaking going over the Pennines and never let a drop of water in ;-) wish I could have said the same about my goretex cammo pants though :-(
