Alternative hotels, none of which I know anything about are here or in Rosslare
Wexford Town & New Ross are about the same distance from the start point while Rosslare is slightly further. There's any amount of B&Bs in the area if that's more your thing. Details of most can be found here, here & here

My compliments to the green trumpet blowers. I heard that the Boreen run was good but arranging a show at the saturday stopover is definately going the extra mile!!

Absolutely ok on road tyres, the whole run is on sealed tarmac roads,
with a little grass growing up the middle.
