Continuing Day 6 05/10/12
Into Bosina

.
The road on the Croatian side can only be described as five k's of rough gravel. Once at the border at Kamesko some damn Frenchman demanded 10Euro's each for insurance for Bosnia as neither of us had green cards...
Once the other side of the border the road surface improved and we where riding through open rolling countryside and smooth empty roads.
Mark had waypoints from his Army days and we had a few stops to explore them.
Tunnel at Kupres.
It was getting towards dusk and wild camping was on the agenda again but no need as a campsite (with cold showers) was found near Jajce.
The resident cat made himself welcome...
Day 7 06/10/12
Up early cold shower missed and on the road as fresh as a daisy.
Nice church at Mrkonjic Grad.
Old Bus station used as a base by NATO just outside the Town.
CD shops opposite were Mark first discovered his bizarre taste in MOR music (think Shania Twain... WTF

)

Although our time was short I loved it in Bosnia. The countryside was beautiful and the roads generally excellent and relatively empty.
The small villages were interesting with whole families working in the fields with horses and old agricultural machinery. Plus lots of roadside stalls selling everything from strange looking fungi to homemade jam and of course the ever popular CD's.
Riding felt safe - just look out for dogs and small children by the side of the road.
Roadworks were a laugh with a general free-for-all...like contraflows and traffic lights are something other prople do.
The town's were interesting with Mosques and Churches in the same neighbourhood. Two thirds of the population are Muslim. A lot of rebuilding is still going on and the scars of the civil war are still present in most villages and towns.
Back in Slovenia via Croatia which is another country that deserves a return visit.
