I know it's not the correct time of year to worry about riding in very hot weather but on the summer tour this year I like most of you found it very hard to ride & drink a bottle of water @ the same time :augie.
So whilst looking through ebay I found this :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Wat...662&pid=100015&prg=1006&rk=1&sd=120951382537&

& thought it might fit the handlebars of the GSA :thumb

Need to road test it when the roads are better but looks promising :flag

Why don't you just pull up somewhere for a drink, or wear a Camelbak? Safer than raising your head to drink whilst riding surely ??

You will need a long stow with that :)
It looks good but I will probably put it somewhere else :thumb
Dose it fits on the crash bars?

I'm struggling to work out which is worse - texting on a mobile whilst driving a car or a motorcyclist taking a swig from a water bottle with one hand off the bars and visor up :nenau

I think they are both bad but you can always stop for a drink somewhere safe to drink and also tex :)

I just bought 2 off them ,one for each site :thumb
It comes handy when drive long distances :beerjug:

McEwans Export FFS!:barf

Do they make an XL holder that will hold a Watneys Party 7 also? :thumb2

I used to drink bottle of water and let me tell you, trying to get a top off at 60mph is interesting to say the least:eek: Even a sports cap is a pain because you have to tilt your head backwards to drink.

Camelbaks are the easiest and best option although Toads gyro cup holder is a good alternative;).

I wear a CamelBak when riding IF I don't want to stop or it's too hot to ride without needing to constantly hydrate, the thing is IF I come off its nice and soft busts when under extreme pressure and the plastic parts are behind my back protection (BMW reallye pro suit and body/spine armour), plus the drinks chube threads safely throught my jacket.

Now imagine getting a face of near full plastice bottle and its holder if you have an off, even bouncing off your visor thats still going to hurt, or if it hits a pedestrian who doesn't have a lid on as they have alot of mass under velocity.

It kind of reminds me of the people who have those THIN METAL SHELVES on their R1200GS Dash right at chest/neck level just because they want to mount their GPS there, I look and think wow not so well thought out.

I do not think that is any one that wants to attempt drinking from a can off coke at 60mph with the helmet on or off :)
The cup or bottle holder Is ideal for holding a nice Starbucks coffe cup etc.
I alway ride during the knight and like to stop when I fill like not necessarily at the petrol station , only if I fill like or i need to top up the tank :) for me this can holder is ideal and comes handy , it is easy also to take it on and off so yes I love it :thumb
I also have the Camelback thing , I have 2 off them and never use them ones :) I just can not be bothered with all that thing on my back and farting around with taking it on and off to top it up and put the jacket together etc. I get all sweaty and I fill like I want it to throw it a way but I still keep it just in case one day wil it l come handy :blast
