already working? previous occupants were reposessed by the bank?
question is, who is paying the bill? should I just go on line and forget it or what?

Wonder if it was the case they paid up front for a years contract, or couldn't get out of the contract with the minimum term not being met.
If its been re-possessed they might have had to go to a bed and breakfast type place where they wouldn't be able to move the service.

Have you got their old phone number as well, i always thought broadband supply is linked to the phone number unless your on cable :nenau

Be aware if you're using the service and they work it out you could be in line for the bill. I'm guessing you're cable rather than ADSL as you'd need to have the right username / password for ADSL (unless the house came with the ADSL modem).

well you can find the ISP by simple speedtest at speedtest.net after that kinda of upto you. Someone must be paying the phone bill if the line is live.

it has been reposessed for over a year...... so you would think it would all be dead?
but we found the passcode to the network on a post it note on the wall.
typed it in and all connected to the web no problems?????
think we shall just use it and see?? what happens ;)

I used to know a guy who used to work with a guy who met a guy down the pub who told him about a company he used to work for who used an existing broadband connection for over two years which the ISP had thought they had disconnected but hadn't - in fact the line is still active allegedly.
