An oldish model, but very interesting indeed. £450 from eBay - cheaper if you are a bit of a canny bidder. 900Mhz processor and 20Gb hard disk should do the job - better than the thing work have given me anyway :D

I am very intrigued by the tablet PC idea - I use mindmaps a lot, and it would be ideal for that. Also I like the idea of taking notes in meetings on it in handwriting, much like I used to do with my old Newton. Being able to annotate a presentation as you are giving is very powerful as well.

Anyway, it's v. thin, v.light and quite cool. Has a keyboard with trackball as well.

I prefered the Newton, but got an Acer Tablet, and it's junk. Far too many problems, but the Micro$oft Tablet XP thingy works well, it's just my h/w that sucks.

Great for reading e-Books.. a lot cheaper than paper ones.

You can pick up an upgraded Newton 2100 on eBay for about £150 at the moment. Great piece of kit in my view - really liked mine and wish I hadn't sold it.
