Had intended holding off for the bike show to take a proper look at the 08 GS/GSA before making a decision on what to buy, but after seeing a new 07 GSA in Alpine White yesterday I just couldn't hold out any longer and ordered one this morning.

Finished in Alpine White (one of the reasons I didn't wait for the new one is that I don't think they make a white one anymore) and apparently has every option fitted - heated grips, computer, chrome exhaust, abs, traction control, bmw alarm, additional lights, tyre pressure monitor, rack for side luggage etc. I may have left a few bits out but that sounds about right.

Didn't actually get round to riding one before buying but am sure I'll get used to it quite quickly. Have arranged collection for early December.

:D

Did you buy it from Bristol they had a fully loaded white Adventure in the showroom a few weeks ago, looked nice.

Had mine since 7th Sept this year - sounds exactly the same spec as yours but I am not sure about the tyre pressure monitor? Did'nt get any handbook etc with it though as they were out of supply and I am still waiting.

Absolutely brillant bike though, done just over 2k miles now and love it :bounce1

*snap* :D

Did wait until I saw the pictures and tech specs for the 08. If the 08 had been a dramatically different bike, I'd probably have waited - but its a bit of a drag not having a bike.

No, but I did see a similar bike that they had in their workshop when I was in Bristol on monday, at the time it was being prepared for a customer. It was actually that bike which persuaded me I needed a GSA and so I ended up ordering this one. There are literally only (I think) 3 Alpine White bikes left - or so I was told.

I actually ordered this one from BVM in Stroud, they are getting it direct from BMW - it's currently still in a crate.

The pic you posted of yours also helped me make my decision, it looked fantastic!

I'm sure you'll enjoy it:D

Still running mine in. Done 250miles, still on the same tank of fuel with 100miles 'till empty which is a novelty for me.

Where my old GS felt like piloting a spitfire, this feels like being at the controls of a Lancaster bomber :)

Never piloted a Lancaster bomber, I look forward to taking it for a spin!

:)

You won't regret it!

Got mine last Saturday, just in time for a looong Sunday ride (360 miles). Had my doubts before buying, but no more. After a string of Japanese inline fours, this is the bike for me.

That pic reminds me, I need to order the luggage.

They just look so good! I know that logically I should have gone for the GS but when confronted by an Alpine White GSA, how can you say no?!!

GSMonkey

That was me chatting as you took the GSA out for a spin from SLM....seat change etc.....

Glad you had a decent test ride, and now have a new bike.

In those old words "health to enjoy it!"

and for me..... well, I'll stick to my spitfire (55 ref 1200 GS ..red of course)

....Keep the shiney side up folks

....Oh, and bloody ride the things.........

Bub - yes, I remember our conversation. Yep, I had a good test ride with the correct seat on it. Just enjoying running it in now. :D
