Braided brake hoses

Bike is a 1994 1100gs with Abs
Looking at the microfiche it looks like i need a 4 line set to replace tme original hoses but looking at the HEL site it states that i need 5 ?
Can someone confirm which it is please

I'd take a look at www.venhill.co.uk - they blow Hel into the water quality-wise. Give 'em a ring and talk to Karl - he'll sort you out

Just had a look at their web site and they dont have a listing for an Abs setup

I reckon if you gave Karl a call on Tuesday he'd be able to sort you out without too many worries. They seem to be pretty good at answering the various odd requests they get from me

I bought a set of the melvins ones from the bay, nice quality and a really good price, I fitted the rear one yesterday with no problems.

If you've an 1100 with ABS you need 4 at the front, and 1 for the rear.

I've seen those as well.They are a sensible price but the banjoes are anodised alloy.
The HEL website has warnings against using alloy banjoes due to corrosion.

But of course they would say that wouldn't they.
Any truth in the matter?.

Been looking at the Melvin ones but cant find the ABS set, Fasntastic price off E-bay for the 3 line set up, non ABS.
Just sent Melvin an email but as they are German they might not understand my yorkshire accent.
Just a thought about the stainless and alluminium corrosion.
Arnt the callipers alluminium which the lines connect to? and if so wouldnt having all alluminium fittings be a more sensible way of stopping the corrosion?

Just fitted a set of braided lines from moto-bins to my 1996 ABS 1100GS.

Excellent service (delivered within a couple of days), quality brake lines and has made a great improvment to the stopping power of the old girl!!

I did speak with HEL and they do not brake lines for ABS models.

Speak with Rob at moto bins and he`ll sort you out.

Unless the lever's coming back to the bars then braided lines aren't going to increase the stopping power.
