I have fitted some new brakes hoses to front of my 96 R1100GS ABS and I am just making sure of bleeding process on the ABS system is it Master to calipers first then to ABS pump or is it master to ABS pump then to calipers. :nenau

The fluid runs from the master to the ABS pump to the calipers, I use a big plastic syringe attached to the caliper and push fluid up from the bottom.

Going up the way, like Stewart says, pushes air out the way it wants to go naturally. I used to have a big syringe too, came from the matternity ward (about a 1 pinter) but I haven't seen it for a while, makes me think I lent to someone! If you know a midwife, you can probably get one.....I am not saying.:)

I got my syringes on ebay for a couple of quid for two, the second one is for emptying the reservoir as you go along, failing that nip into a hospital or a vets surgery, they probably will not be suspicious, the size you need are waaay too big for injectable drugs
