on my 1100GS.

I have borrowed Robs Mityvac and thought i had done a good job with the bleeding.

The problem that i have discovered is............

After a number of front brake applications the front brake `sticks on`. It sticks on rock solid.

Would this be a bleeding problem or a calliper problem.

Thanks for your time

Without looking at it, my money would go for the caliper problem. Probably needs stripping and cleaning

Did it do this before you started bleeding your brakes?Have played with the adjuster screw on the brake lever?

I have fitted braided hoses hence the brake bleeding.

Before fitting the hoses all was mighty fine.

had the same probem on some cars, and the hose had perished on the inside not allowing the fluid to return back through the hose.also check no bits have contaminated the fluid eg dirt/grit and as you pump thr lever it gets wedged preventing the fluid to return back.?

Right here goes. Set your lever to pos 4,unscrew adustment screw until lever exhibits movement b4 touching mastercylinder piston. Turn screw back until you just feel it touch the end of the piston(do this a couple of times to get a feel for it).Once it has touched the piston then turn the screw a further half turn.Screw needs to have some loctite on it.
Sounds like your problem was that the master cylinder piston wasn't returning properly

Thanks

Leigh,

Many many many thanks. Remind me i owe you a pint should we meet anywhere
