Looking for a way out
Well - banish from the Beakchat as this isn't 'complete' bollox...

Just been finishing of my 24k service and changing the brake fluid. Obviously I initially did this without reference to the manual (no doubts about my sexuality there), so:
- Do I actually need to bleed off the ABS system, surely pumping it through from the reservoir to the caliper nipple will flsuh this through?
- Whats going on with the RHS front caliper. Wot no Nipples :D
Looked at book and seemed to imply I had to replace a grub screw with a nipple - whats all that about then  Last thing I want to do is remove a grub screw and get air in?

Somebody care to enlighten me.

thanks

jimbo.

Go to the tech section and do a search on 'bleed'. It's all there.......and more.

I'm in the middle of a bleeding nightmare at moment so my answer to your first question would be that there appears to be no definite answer. Some people say it's necessary and some don't.

Your second question has no relevance to me as I own a 1100. However, I recall reading that the RH caliper is not fitted with a bleed nipple from the factory on 1150s'. I've just fitted Speedbleeders, it might be a good time for you to try them.
