I popped the front wheel out to get a Tyre fitted today. Upon reassembly, the brake failure light is flashing. Sensor ring is on the correct side, can’t see any issue with the ABS sensor or wire. Am I missing anything else obvious to check? Bike is a 2013 twin cam.

Check the sensor ring hasnt been damaged. then check the air gap.

It turns out it is the ASC light flashing, with the red ‘Brake Failure’ warning constantly illuminated.

I’ll give it to someone in the know I think. I’ll just tear out my remaining hair!

Check the spindle & spacer are fitted correctly, which is admittedly difficult to get wrong on the air cooled RT's as there's only one spacer which is on the ABS ring side, the spindle shoulder acts as the spacer for the other side. Check the ABS sensor ring hasn't got bent or damaged somehow when the wheel's been off.

Any updates on this fault?

Did you remember that the ecu has to see revolutions of the sensor before it reads.

Mine needs 100m or so to pick up and read the pressure.
