I'm having a problem with my 1200GS (06). The "brake failure" light started staying on a month or so ago. When I turned the ignition off it would reset and be ok for about 20ks. I also charged the battery and now have a trickle charger on the battery full time. It happened again but after resetting lasted about 10 ks, then next time 5ks, now it is on all the time. Checked fluid, all good. Checked pads - 1 rear one is down a little, pushed it out a bit, put it all back, still the light is on.
I have the tank off and looking at the servo but everything looks good, no moisture etc. I can't find an ABS fuse?? Does anyone have any ideas??

Servo unit, continues?

I checked out the servo unit (ABS unit) as suggested by Steptoe but there are no brake fluid chambers, only the pipes in and out, the elec. connections and a few little steel balls (sealing holes). I don't know whether my Australian model 06 has Type 1, II, or III ABS. I still have full braking when the light is on , but no ABS and I don't think my braking is linked front - back? I can't find the rear brake switch either, definately not near the pedal, must be in the unit somewhere? Would a slightly low battery cause this??

i would check the brake pad thickness
i have had brake light on and it was the rear pads were vlow :blast
as soon as i replaced the pads bike fine:D
