Brake Failure - possible ways to check cause

Those of you who had your bikes sorted by BMW, am I assuming you had warranty on them?

Just bought a 54 plate R1200GS so obviously it's out of warranty but wondered if I ever came across a problem like this, is it possible that BMW would sort it out?

It will be between three and four years out of warranty... What might you expect?

Buy a new bike if you want absolute peace of mind. Or, as you have done, save a significant amount of money by buying a second hand one. Then save up some more to pay for possible problems, which may never materialise.

BuMW is not a charity but it costs nothing to ask them, does it?

Sorry for the delay:

No, it was just that CW's were able to negotiate with BMW on my behalf, so all I paid was the labour. It pays off in the end for CW's - I've got my last two bikes from there, and now the other half has a F800ST, there are two of us who travel down from Brum for services - it's a nice run, even if a little nuts...!
