Well after the bike reached 13k miles the front brakes developed a judder exactly like the disc's were warped. Decided to have a go at cleaning the disc's before I forked out a fortune for new ones. First off I took out the front pads and got some extremely fine wet and dry, using this damp I gave the discs a light rub down and then a clean with spray on brake cleaner. I then used coarse paper on a flat surface and gave the pads a good rub down and again cleaned them with the brake cleaner. After putting everything back together I took it for a test ride and found the judder had completely gone, been out today again bedding the brakes back in with gentle braking and the judder is still gone, even with a couple of hard braking applications from 70-80mph. Total time took about 30mins, might be worth anyone experiencing the same to try it before shelling out for new discs:)

I think this is a very useful observation and should be noted by anyone experiencing front wheel judder on the brakes before they assume it's their disks that are knackered. Cleaning the disks has been suggested before but it's nice to see it working so conclusively for someone.:thumb2
