Brake light issues

The brake light on my BMW GS 1150 stays on when the tail lights are turned on? Can anyone out there advise me on how to sort it?

Check the guard isn't fowling the front lever, and the micro switch on the back brake can be misaligned and not go orf...

Give them a good squirt with some silicon spray such as GT85, one of them's probably stuck

The rear brakelight switch has a sprung blade as part of it (from memory it was 10yrs ago I had to sort mine). I got a bit of gravel lodged in mine which caused it to stay on IIRC...

Faulty Tail Lamp?

Could be the tail lamp shorting across brake and tail filaments - you wouldn't notice if the tail filament was on when you applied brake - but you'll certainly notice when you put on tail lamp and brake filament is also on.
Had this fault with an H7 headlamp bulb years ago - both filaments shorting together in base of lamp causing both filaments to be on together.

Not very useful or clear information to start offering any precise diagnosis .....

Does the brake light work normally when the lights are off ?

Does it light up using both front and rear brakes ?

Is the the stop light or taillight on when using the ignition switch in the steering locked/parking light position.

Have you inserted the tail/stoplight bulb the correct way around ?
