Hello, my brake light on the 1150 GS is on all the time. So far I've use lots of WD40 on both front and back switches and waggled the back one a lot. Parking light works fine, so I guess the bulb is OK.

It's dark and cold so I've not taken anything to bits yet.

Any I deas where to start at the weekend?

Cheers

Can you hear the front brake light switch click on and off? My ABS model had this problem, but I could hear the servo pump running.

I took the brake lever off & greased the bush. Voila, cured

When this happened to me it turned out to be the microswitch arm inside the front brake lever housing. It just needed to be bent a bit and it was fine. Took about 20 mins to take apart, bend and put back together. I'll see if I can find the diagram for you.

Thanks for your help. :thumb

Only one more day to risk getting rear ended or pulled...Christ I'm sounding very 'Carry On' now...Ooooh, Mrs! ;)

Check the twin filament bulb. When this happened to me both the filaments in the bulb were touching.

Thanks all for your help...

Went out this morning and sorted it. It was the front brake switch, just took it out bent it a bit (seemed like the right thing to do at the time ;) ) and checked it again...works fine now.

Thanks again...I like this forum, 'You know you are not alone on here'... :clap
