Brake lines

How difficult is it to fit new (braided) brake lines to a 2000 1150gs ( non servo abs) I changed the wheels (see done it again thread) and seem to have made the front brakes come on but not release. Given that I'm a mechanical numpty is this best left to professionals? CheersJohn B

assuming they are similar to the R1100RT ,then very easy, just change one for one, and bleed, may be a good time to get a rebuild kit for the master cylinder on the front brake lever, not expensive and easy to do while the system is down.

I did my 2002 ABS 1150GS recently and it was totally straight forward apart from the ridiculous yoke on the front right caliper ('filler adapter') instead of the bleed nipple, but you can remove it and put a normal bleed nipple in (if it's same as on mine). Again (if it's the same) apparently on the rear caliper the bleed nipple has a tendency to snap off but there is a repair kit you can get from the normal retailers to fix - in my case it came undone with no problem so the kit I bought 'in case' is sitting on shelf in garage.
Otherwise just a simple enough job
Got all the bits from Motobins including Venhill-made braided lines.
