Contemplating fitting new pads to the front of my 2000 1150GS, there's about 3mm of pad material left but off to Hungary next week & would rather fit new pads now than need pads in the middle of nowhere:(

Any recommendations that work well with standard discs? Used EBC HH in the past on my old GSX-R1100 with no problems.

Thanks

Contact Steptoe as he does Ferodo Platinum pads. This is my first time on them and when bedded in they do exactly what you expect - stop you well! I recommend them as well as Steptoes ridiculously cheap price that he knocks them, out for!!:thumb

pssst, Ferodo PLATINUM friction material same as ebc HH .

Late GS's £16 a pair ( BMW calipers )
early GS's £15 a pair ( brembo calipers)

I don't suppose for a minute by early GS'd you mean Airheads? I'm after EBC HH (or absolute equiv) for my K1100RS - 4-pot caliper. If you don't know which caliper I've got you can look for yourself on Tuesday :thumb

I mean early oil heads, brembo calipers.

But they'll fit K series 4 pot caliper, but you only need a single set, what do i do with the odd set left ?.

anyone one out there with a K 4 pot caliper on their airhead who needs a set of pads.

:D :D

No but I would'nt mind a second hand 4-pot K caliper to fit ib to my girlfriends 94' R80GS Paralever. I've heard that there's one particular caliper that fits straight on to the forks & compliments the standard airhead GS disc.

BTW Steptoe, I tried replying to your PM re: pads but your mailbox is full.................

To go back to the original question,I heartily recommend Carbon Lorraine pads.Bit pricey mind, but you do get a cool sticker, hoho.
They do give off a fair bit of dust though,so if you have polished rims, wipe `em clean after every ride.
Got EBC HH in the rear caliper on one 1100,they seem fine too, but I use Carbon Lorraines in the fronts.
