Out on the bike, 07 1200 GS, the other day and noticed the front and rear brake lever/pedal pulsing under braking. Out again today and it seems to be worse. Not so bad at speed when braking hard but when going slow the bike rocks back and to. The rear fluid level is above min but not by much. Would air in the rear also affect the front, linked brakes ? And is bleeding the system the same as a conventional set up ? I've considered warped discs but they seem fine. I'm not a heavy braker and to have front and rear disc's warp on one run seems unlikely.
I'm asking for your help, apart from the obvious, as I'm off to Scotland on Tuesday and am working at the weekend and my nearest dealer is closed on Mondays.
Thanks in anticipation.........F
PS. ABS fitted.

It's because the brakes are linked. the rear brake pedal will move depending on how hard you are pulling on the front brake lever. Find somewhere quiet, Hover over the back brake and use the front lever. You'll then notice that there is a direct relationship between your right hand and the pedal pulse.
It caught me off guard at first and I initially thought that the ABS was cutting in:blast

Tunneruk is correct. If you use both front and rear brakes and push too hard on the rear brake then the computer will operate the ABS and release the rear. Hence the pulsing. Operating the front brake lever applies force to both front and rear and the computer works out how much force should be sent to the rear brake. Use the front brake lever only is my advice. I only apply my rear brake pedal alone in particular circumstances eg to test for ice or travelling down my downhill gravel drive!!

Can't answer the question, but I've had a loan bike today (2007 GS) for my 2005 bike. No problem with the brakes at normal speed, either used gently or hard, but I did notice that at slower speeds, maybe 20 mph down to walking pace, the front brake lever seemed to pulse. Thought maybe it had warped discs but on the one occasion when I rode a bike that definitely had warped discs, it got worse the faster I went. That didn't happen with the loan bike.

Like I said, I can't answer the question. (I rarely use the rear brake pedal, by the way, and didn;t today. And it definitely wasn't the ABS cutting in.)
