Need new brake disks all round for the F800gs, I don't really want to pay over the odds prices for OEM. Anyone had any luck with other brands from other manufactures that are cheaper?
Cheers

Nearly, had advisory last time for the rear but there was a bit of fat left on it. This MOT advisory on the front. Rear is also warped now, so looking round for replacements. Not in a huge hurry, I'm sure they'll be fine for a few months but want to get them changed before a summer trip to Romania. The bike has 63k on it so far so not bad for a set of disks

Not too bad. At least you can shop around. I'd also try Motorworks they measure the thickness before shipping so you know what your getting. I've found them very helpful. JJH

Still on the originals at 118,000 miles so OEM are therefor ultra cheap :blast

Bought a rear disc from allbikes, I don't think it's listed on their website but it's the same as the rear on a 2008 1200gs. £65

I got a great set of front discs from www.allbikeengineering.co.uk last July for £220 including VAT for the pair.
Check them out, I can't find a difference between the ABE discs and the OEM discs other than the price.

Cheers Super Ted I'll have a look. Was thinking of trying the cheaper disks on eBay, anyone tried them? Obviously if I don't get a reply maybe some have and they didn't work so well and they are now unable to comment O:)
