That German email basically says they are monitoring dealer feedback and so far only isolated incidences have been reported.
If the dealer reports the issue bmw will replace the problem parts with new callipers and continue to monitor the situation.

Might have seen you this morning, I was in to pick up my new GSA HP.
Didn't get the bike further than the front door. Engine warning message came up twice during the delivery process. Bike returned to the workshop, and me sent home with a demo.
Wife and kids waiting for me to return home with my nice shiney new 60th birthday present. Disappointed to say the least.
Can't fault Laura and the team at Motorad Central. There was not much more they could do.
After issues getting insurance for the bike (BMW Insurance withdrew cover 2 days ago because they had misquote" me), and now this, I'm hope that the bike isnt jinxed.![]()
Yep something like that.
The dealer said that the problem was probably low voltage in the battery (was reading 11.4V) and that time spent showing me what the TFT could do, and the pairing of my phone, headset and Nav6, while the engine wasnt running probably didn't help.
When I called this afternoon, I was told that the bike was ready to be picked up (battery had been on charge). Collecting tomorrow. Fingers crossed that that was the problem?
Need to get a "piggy back" lead for the battery so I can stick my optimate 4 on if the bike is going to be sitting for any length of time.
PS. Noting that the +ve terminal of the battery is hidden in the depths of the bike, can I attach the +ve lead of the piggy back lead to the "jump start?" fixing located just to the right of the battery?
How do you like the 800?
Sadly the Mother-ship have allowed their own moniker to be caste into the Yankee calipers, so there aint no hiding place. Whilst I haven't researched the RT forum, the source of the leak shown in post #22 is difficult to discern; well it is for me. Whether it's piston leaks, banjos, casting faults or over-torqued fixings I am not sure. Whatever, this is deeply concerning & all for the 'suits' to save a few Euros.
BTW, is the loaner a new old stock 800, or the new 850 I wonder?
yep, that's it, Harris brakes are shit, all 1250s on recall - Brembo all the way.

You mean Hayes? I guess you have a lot of experience with them since you know the name and all...
As mentioned the other choice was Brembo's, on the RS they have had issues with contamination in the brake fluid, also air getting in, that's why they moved to the Hayes units, Brake fluid changes with Brembo' is expensive as lever slowly moves into bar and gets spongy, 6 of one and half a dozen,
