Brand New Bike - Oil Drip From Pipe

Parked up the brand new bike in my garage after a 60 mile run only to find a drop of oil on the floor - left hand by the side stand bracket.

I've traced it to a breather pipe (?) that runs up and into the engine immediately above the oil filter - dealer says it's not unheard of and is assembly/running in oil used in the engine build process, that others do it and that it will stop as the bike continues to be run in.

However, he's also asked me to keep an eye on it and let them know if it doesn't stop.

After I cleaned away the drip in the photo, there's not been another and the pipe outlet remains dry (though the bike is stationery and cold now).

Thoughts please?

Just wipe it off and carry on. Any old rag will do.

I'll be more worried about the poor protection and incorrect termination of those wires. The sleeve should go all the way to the plug and not ride up like that.

Yes, I did wonder about the short sleeving.

I don't think the sleeve is supposed to all the way to the plug - the sleeve only protects against chafing in areas where that is likely to happen - the wires have a waterproof seal in the plug.

Its a heat shield sleeve for the Lamba Sensor as it runs close to engine and the exhaust and the plugs are 100% sealed at the connector both on entry and connection.

I just see it as further WBM penny pinching by the bean counters [1]...............just multiply 13mm of missing heat protection sheaving across the number of 1250 engined bikes sold per annum and we have ourselves the cost of a few crates of finest Bavarian Pilsner.
