Breakfast at Hawes - Sunday 24th October

Great ride-out everyone. Nice to meet you all.

It all went a bit Wacky Races at Skipton :eek, but nice one Doc for a great run! :D

Bit of a pi**er on the video, connected up the camera, checked for the movie files and.... NO VIDEO!!!!!!

Neal (black GS) took a good few photos and will give them to me later for me to upload on here.

Did get a tad confused when we got to Skipton- not sure who was doing what. Anyhow, had a good day out, couldn't believe there was going to be that many people turn up!!

Maybe next time I will be on my 1200ADV- providing Roy Gardner can fix it in the near future or it doesn't meet with an untimely "accident".

Seriously, we will have to do this more often- cannot remember the last time we had a big group ride out like this- even though its coming up to winter time there are still plenty of sunny days in winter to go at.

Suppose would be good to meet up for a pint some evening like the Windmill meet. For me its slightly too far away for an evening run and pure motorway- perhaps we could have an evening a bit further north? Will give us chance to all meet up and chat and get to know each other a bit better.

Sounds like a plan Haydw - same for me, shame Windmill is a bit too far. Rudiemoto was saying the same thing about the distance to the Windmill, so maybe we could arrange something closer.

Apologies over the video fecking up, the memory card is faulty as it turns out, under warranty so will replace it this week :thumb2

Whens the next rideout? :D

What a blisteringly good day out. 17 GS's  a great turnout. Nice to meet everyone, and i will apologise now for not remembering peoples names the next time i see them, cos i'm shite at it :)

Many thanks to Doc- even if he did panic a bit when he saw the number of bikes:thumb2

rideout

Shame today ended the way it did, but cheers doc all the same for a cracking route, couldn't believe the 1 st time dogging + cameras are mentioned there's 16 bikes:D
Was nice to chat to some new faces but as we only stopped the once didn't get much chance to meet every one.

Nice ride out and good to meet some new faces:comfort as well as the usual rabble:thumb2

god Knows what happened in Skipton - I parked behind the chippy and found myself alone. I asked myself - how do you loose 17 tossers

= the right amount of effort :D:D

However, four laps later and no convoy to be found, I headed down the 59, and bumped into Wideparting and Tarry :thumb2

next time we can go off the beaten track a little more ( in two groups )

It was also nice to see all of the SWMBO's who braved a bit of cold for the ride out - hope to see you all on the next ride out !

Smurf - sorry your dogging video didn't turn out, your career progression from close quarter security body guard to voieristic camera man is slow in the offing :D:D

H - thanks for tail gunner, much apprecated.

And following on from the comments of a meeting point closer to the north west, I wouldn't mind giving somewhere around Standish a try :beerjug:

Good to see you all :clapsafe riding

:D I was gutted when I connected the cam up when I got in expecting to see a bunch of lunatics on GS's only to find nothing. GUTTED.

Some good dogging spots around there :thumb

There's no-one worse with names vs faces as I am, so just a quicky to say Hi to those I met in Hawes today.

Didn't get to see an example of ABW HID's but will sometime hopefully,

Might see some of you on the next ride out.:beerjug:

Neal K (black GS) managed to get some good shots today, (cheers Neal).

Doc S was heard saying "hold up Mike, I've got my boxers stuck right up my arse - have you got a tyre lever I can borrow"? :-)

One more - MikeTR arrives on his Dakar! One hell of a bike that got him round Spain in September.

Oh, hang on, I do that all the time..:augie

Enjoyed it today folks, many thanks.

Couldn't fail to be a good day out really. Sun was shinning (but bloody cold, glad my wife and I had our electric jackets on). Riding a GS and heading for the Yorkshire dales. Same as everyone else says glad to put names to faces. Thanks to everyone who turned up. Well done Doc :thumb

Great day
Great Weather
Great roads

Well done Doc on pulling it all together :beerjug:
