If we lived closer, I'd offer to lend your lad the system panniers that fit those holders, and a Givi rack for the trip. Does he live further south than you, by any chance?

The usual treatment...😆 Apart in 3 days, recon'ed, cleaned, serviced a week later...😆👍

Still advertised but not for sale . Read the last two words in the description - all be it I agree it is less than 100% clear !

"deposit accepted"
Think you got a bargain there.. I have just bought one for 3k though it does have just 7051 miles on it.

Apart within 3 hours of getting it home LOL

Can anyone advise if the breather pipe that is tie wrapped to the RH frame member is supposed to plug into something and if so what ? Looks to be coming from the gearbox ?

g/box breather should end up .... under the air intake next to the temp sender , so it pokes out the lhs just .
did you break the drain tube spigot , under the airbox ?

i think you need to give my 1200 Sport a clean for me ! :D

So just to confirm the end of the gearbox breather pipe doesn't actually plug into anything it just pokes out LHS

The air box drain tube spigot is intact but the pipe that was supposed to be attached to it was missing and there is oil misting all over the back of the gearbox from the drain , I'll fit a new drain tube and clean up the rear of the gearbox when I get the swinging arm removed

My rates are very reasonable for bike valeting LOL

Previous owner had fitted a carbon fibre Quill exhaust and a Power Commander 5 which I have now removed and will refit the standard end can

I've put the Quill exhaust and Power Commander up for sale in the For Sale Section

Rear shock linkage removed and all OK , bearings were all greased and free running . Glad I didn’t ride it home the swinging arm main pivot bolt was only in hand tight !

Final drive , swinging arm , rear shock and drive shaft removed . No issues found , swinging arm bearings are in excellent condition and well greased . Looks like it has had a replacement driveshaft at some point . Magnets clear on final drive and gearbox drain plugs but I'm not convinced the oil had been changed recently as advised by the previous owner

Removed fuel pump from petrol tank and filter was original from 2005 so replaced with a new one . Filler cap drain/breather lines were blocked at the under tank nipples so both cleaned out and unblocked . Inner spark plugs removed and renewed
