What do BMW 'Bricks' have in common with ABBA?

They both seem to be guilty secrets.

For years the BMW Brick has been associated with the Pipe 'n Slipper brigade. Admitting ownership and worse, a fondness for what has always been perceived as the stolid, uninspiring, even boring, unloved product of Spandau has been to admit that you rather enjoyed the output of ABBA when you were supposed to be embracing the Sex Pistols and all things Punk.

Well now it seems that like Anni-Frid, Benny, Bjorn and Agnetha, it's no longer the massive social gaff that it once was to admit to owning a K100, K75 or K1.

My name is Mike. I own a K75 and I'm not ashamed!

Go on. Join-in. You'll feel better for it. :D

(Who knows. We might even get our own section. If the Harley owners warrant a section, why not?):nenau

2 Bricks both K100RS ones an A reg with 92,000 and the others an 85 with 56,000

The A reg could be getting a Turbo Diesel Charade engine if that INTERMITTENT ferkin misfire keeps feckin me around :-(

I have a K75RT
And another K75RT
And a K100LT
And a K1100 which has lost it's fairing - cheap K1100R!

I HAD a K1 (the Black version with no stickers of course ;) ), had quite a laugh with it for 6 years.

I'm better now though....:D

By that I mean my aches and pains are no more as the GS riding position suits my old bones more... :rob

k100rt used most days for a commute into london or chatham or anywhere eles i am working it seems to have taken over from the airhead GS for work

I own a brick and can admit that Abba greatest hits Vol 2 is the most played album on my iPod.

Ooh, its like a ton off my shoulders.

i would quite like to own a brick one day.

i admire abba, but have no desire to listen to any.
