Your name came up yesterday Andy - along the lines of "What's happened to Stumpy ? ? ?"

You were missed.

Hurry up and come back :thumb.

Bob. That pic with me sitting sexily on my bike, looking very Steve Mcqueen ..ish.
Is the photy quality good enough to get a 'crop' of that bit.

Crap day for riding a bike !

The roads were treacherous on the sections that were in the shade, and slippy on the sections that weren't! My back end stepped out on me at least 3 times on the way over. Speed cameras (fixed, mobile and average fekkin speed) were out in force on the A 9, that road gets worse every time I ride/drive it.
Lunch with some Tossers was up to its usual standard, as was the banter. :thumb2
On a rather spirited run home over Glenshee and then onto the Leicht while attempting to keep up with Flyod, my backend stepped out again and pretty much had me bricking masell for the next 20 miles. I noticed Robmack gave me some extra room after that, cant say I blame him. :D Is it just me that struggles on this section of road? Am I too busy taking in the scenery and not concentrating on the job in hand, namely, riding ma bike ?
Waved Floyd off at Tomintoul and parted with Robmack at the A9 just before Aviemore, it then became a bit of a race against time to get home.
The temperature plummeted after the sun went down, must fit my muffs. :eek
Back onto well kent roads that offered some decent grip my pace quickened notably, do we all do that ? I found masell enjoying this last section better that anything that went before it. Washed my bike down, had a big plate o mince n tatties then opened a bottle of Black Stump and parked masell in front o the fire. :eyesdown
Yip, crap day really for riding a bike but I felt soo much the better for it sat in front o a great big fire, SWMBO and my daughters watching a rat in a French kitchen on the box, an me sipping away contemplating, well nothing much really.

Roll on the next one. :clap

Sorry I didn't make it chaps, got a call from the care home on Friday night to say Dad wasn't well. So went to see him instead. He's got a bad chest infection (75 years of smoking are catching up) and considering he's 92 and counting....well, you know.

When's the next one????
