Looking for new rubber soon; have been pretty happy with Bridgestone Battlewings up to now. Bridgestone reckon that the Battlewings are not now available for the GS and are recommending the A40. Not heard much about them; anyone used them?
I put them on my l/c GSA. Don't know whether it was me or the tyers but it took 600 miles before I had any confidence in them. JJH
Could go without the slides thanks. JJHAnother vote for them here. Changed my horrible OEM Anakee 3's at 2000 miles and they transformed the bike. Had a couple of slides that they recovered well from in very wet weather in Luxembourg but that was more the fault of my ham fisted use of the throttle than the tyres, otherwise they feel very secure in the wet and dry. Recommended, especially considering you can pick a pair up for less than £200.
I've had a moment or 2 on mine. Won't get again. JJH
Handy to know, looking for new boots.
They are not as bad as they were and I was beginning to think it was me. But in the wet I don't like the skittish feeling from the front. You know when you ride over a manhole cover and she gives a little slide. It's like that without the manhole. JJH
