Might be just me. But in the space of 500 miles (I reckon) my T33's went from rideable to this. Really badly squared off
I've gone back to Michellin Road 6's as in all my years I've never had this happen with them. And I keep a really close eye on my tyres.
From new to this in less that 5 months. I'm trying to work out how may miles they've covered

Anyone else had this or just me ?

was it 500 miles of a rolling burnout?

or do you mean 5000 miles?
I'll have to try and work out how many miles in total. But I am pretty confident that 500 miles beforehand they were more than ok. Usual road wear but nothing close to this

Keeping a close eye on your tyres…should have gone to Spec Savers 🫣

Modern tyres have very little rubber when the tread disappears, Road 5/6's are no different, the cords will be showing very quickly, you should have checked them more often, it's not the tyres fault.

"before 500 miles they seemed ok" This has no meaning, You've simply failed to replace the tire when it was done.

Squared off my arse!

ragged to feck

Anyone else notice not one wear bar visible ?

There a lot of other old worn tyres in the picture, sort of reminds me of a used tyre heap. I'm smelling a rat here, but why bother?

thats the pile where they put the tyre after I had the new ones fitted.
are you suggesting they sold me duff tyres to begin with ?

Thats the thing. There were wear bars well visible, I wouldnt have expected them to go off that quickly tho
I'm not that talented (I dont think) to rag a set of tyres that quickly)

I'm surgesting bullshit!
I'm not after anything. I've a new set on Road 6's on.
I'm just observing that they went off pretty quick as they are supposed to be a 2-compound tyre
I mean I'm no "knee down" rider but side walls have plenty on still

I've heard back from Bridgestone, and there may possibly be an issue. I have to try and get the batch number of the old tyre if I can. It's probably already on its way to a landfill :(

Amount of tread in centre at how many miles ago. The wear bars are not in the centre.
Tyre pressure. Load. Speed. Road surface. Temperature..

All of the tyre looks well worn. If squared off as well, which you said it had squared off…. (due to type of use etc.)
Then simply subtract the squared off part against the remaining clearly worn tyre = on the cords.

Personally I think a tyre supplier would be thinking the same thing..

If you google the T30 one of the main comments it’s pulled from reviews backs up what happened to you….

Several long-term motorcycle reviews indicate that the tire profile holds up well initially, but tread wear can accelerate significantly during the final ~ 500 miles of the tire's life.

I know its a never ending debate and tyres are really personal preference but i've not been a fan of Bridgestones for years
