Select the menu item "Edit/Preferences". Select the "Position" tab. For "Grid" select "British National Grid". Set up your waypoints - note that the format needs to be 5 digits each so if working from an O/S map just add 00 e.g. SU 12300 45600 Transfer to 2610.

I think that the very high voltage on the National Grid might damage your 2610 - I would advise against it!
