Brittany Ferries discount codes.

Make sure you try LD Lines for prices too, as they are about to sail from Poole to Santander.....perfect if the prices undermine BF.

Mrs "something or other" on here - published her discount code a while back

Try a search for Discount code?? :nenau

Given what I've heard about LD lines I'd be hapy to pay BF fares with or without discount ;)

Heard where.....on fecking Tripadvisor?

Folks I've travelled with and whose opinions I can rely on soft lad
Come back and tell us what you think when you've sailed the bay of biscay with LD, if you say it stacks up it might be worth a look.

I'm the soft lad.......sound. :thumb2
What are you and you're travel experts after........ put you bike in the boat, have a shower and a few beers, and get your head down, or a night in the Waldorf Astoria, your arse powered and the Biscay to be a mill pond...... hardcore you taffs hey! :D
If it's cheaper than BF then it's the way to go.
BF have been milking it for a while now......:rob
I'll let you know as I'm looking at an early 2014 Portugal visit.:bounce1

BF have been able to milk it in the absence of any competition, I d be interested to know what you think of LD's crossing, who knows some competition may even drive BF's prices down :augie

I've done one overnight crossing from Portsmouth to le havre on LD lines.
All I can say is, never again. BF crossing to Caen was £100 more, and I'd happily pay it, and have several times since.

I live 20 mins from Poole ferry port, but it would be very much a last resort to do a long crossing to Spain with LD. TBH I have not heard of plans for this route anyway.

Code

A 10% off code for BF seems to be given out each year at the Bike show at the end of November. It will appear on here shortly afterwards.

LD Lines are Excellent.

Sailed across the Bay of Biscay both ways with LD Lines in 2012:thumb2. We used the overnight crossing from St Nazaire to Gijon, an excellent crossing arriving in the perfect place in Spain for Galicia, Portugal, Picos etc. The crossing was only £120 return with a 2-berth cabin, one bike and me and the wife.
We used that crossing because we hate the long crossings:mad:. I like Brittany Ferries for channel crossings, but as others have said, the lack of competition on the long crossings to Spain has led to some excessive pricing so a bit of LD Lines competition would do a bit of good.

I'd prefer a daytime crossing with BF from Poole and then stay a few hours into France for the first night, compared to the overnight crossing to Le Havre with LDLines. I've done both in recent years so feel qualified to comment.

Earlier this year I arrived in Cherbourg at 1pm ish by BF slow boat and was in Blois on the Loire at tea time.

LD crossing to Santander is on their website now http://ldlines.co.uk/timetables/santander-poole

Done the Le Havre. Overnighter from Portsmouth last year and found it ok for the price.

AFAIK the discount codes where pulled due to mis-use

You might want to take a look at LD lines for cheaper prices on the Spanish routes
