After a 13-year absence from biking, fell in love with a yellow R1150gs only to find that a previous owner had removed the oil filter with a plain screwdriver, ventilating the engine block in the process. The gooey repair has given way. Thankfully I didn't part with any money before discovering this.

So I'm on your site hunting for a nice well-maintained gs1150! "Wanted" ad on the way!

I saw a nice one for sale in Maddocks a few months back. Corbin seat too, IIRC. Long gone now, though.

Going up North or across to England is a good way to find a bargain.
