Everyone of a certain age has a soft spot for a Bantam. First bike I rode aged about 13, over the fields.

Good luck with the sale, with the whole three extra HP, is it a 125 or 150?

I believe its a 125 , thanks might px air gun
Agreed Nitram , 148cc Bantam Major engine came out in 1954 . Heres the engines and frame numbers for your year. Good luck with the sale. Ps the source of the info is “ The essential buyers guide for BSA bantams” how bloomin sad am I

Agreed , my dad had a D1 that I would siphon petrol out of to incinerate my plastic toy soldiers. I sometimes wonder how I managed to survive past six years old!

Its a great resource and is second only to strolling onto the Bantam owners club stands at classic shows for intricate knowledge for the marque🤣🤣

we’d have got on as kids. Possibly not made adulthood though…

When I retired I used to help Rex Caunt with his Bantam business and spares shop. He was getting parts made abroad and was even getting barrels and heads cast especially for the racing Bantams. He had a warehouse full of new and used parts, and a lot of “ junk” Bantam bits.
What he didn’t know about Bantams was not worth knowing.
Unfortunately he died a few years ago, and his daughter Michelle has taken over the business, but the knowledge lost in his passing will be lost forever.
The company is called “ Rex Caunt Racing” and is based in Barwell, Leicestershire.
