Saw an ad for a buffalo mountain shirt on the F/S forum and it reminded me how toasty these seemed when i saw one a couple of years ago. Being a skinny git i suffer with the cold and struggle to retain heat, and these sound ideal for a number of purposes. Unfortunately no one stocks them anywhere near me and mail order is the only option, does anyone know if they will fit under a Savanna 2? The savanna isn't particulary tight as i tend to layer up well in the winter anyway but i don't want it to make me feel like the michelin man and hamper movement. Anyone wear one for riding?

Hey pigglet, I've got a couple of Buffalo windshirts but they are the unlined version. They are both on the small side for their given sizes, however they are about 12 years old and just seem to last for ever and look the same when they were new. They pack real small for camping too!

I've had one of the lined Buffalo Mountain shirts for over 10 years and it's a great piece of kit to wear whilst riding. It's warm, windproof, not at all bulky and the Pertex shell slides easily against the lining of an jacket making it very comfortable.
Several of the outdoor shops around here stock them.

These are in stock in the outdoor shops in Otley and Grassington, cost about £100.

Buffalo shirts, fantastic bits of kit. I have had one four years, which I bought originally for use when cycling 35 miles a day to work and back. I found it to be completely windproof. i used to ride in winter, in conditions well below freezing, with no layer underneath, and was well warm.

Funnily enuff, I have never used on the bike, dunno why really, probably do so with the fact thats its bright purple!!

I might give it a try tomorrow, thinking about it. Either way, I can highly recomend one.

Cheers
