After a weekend trip to the Scottish bike show on the 1150 GS i was wondering what the cure would be for all the buffeting on my lid:( .I am 5'10'' but between 80-100mph (who,me officer!!) the wind was quite annoying:spitfire .I only have the bike from last November so does it require a different screen, those tobinater things or a change of bike.Im just glad i was'nt wearing my new Arai tour x.(and yes,i know i could just slow down) Any comments, constructive or otherwise would be of great help.

P.S Is the 1200GS any better for this cause if so the new patio can just friggin wait:thumb2 O.K,just coming love:nono

I had the same problem with my GSA, so I fitted Toby's, problem solved. It's like riding a different bike.

:thumb

Get the 'Binators - problem solved.

I have them and an MRA screen which is a super set-up, but even with the standard GSA screen there's no buffeting. It was a shocking bike before they were fitted.

Am i right in saying the GSA screen is bigger tham my GS?. Anyway i think the tobinaters is the way to go so thanks for that.Is there much setting up with them or is it just trail and error?

Regards

Some say they do take a bit of setting up, but to be honest I bolted mine on & hav'nt touched them since.

Maybe I'm a jammie barsteward.

:D

Are they just as good when you're 6` 3"? + Tour X?

Buffeting 1st.... low bridges next!!!!!

mine came with tobinators, needed to fiddle a bit to get the right angle , just carry an alen key with you to adjust when you stop.

Same height as you.

I have an Adventure screen on my standard GS and don't have a problem with buffeting.

still fiddling with mine :augie

trying to get the correct set up correct, adjusted them again today, now too high :blast will have to try again, have had em since last september :o

HI, I've got Tobinators fitted on a standard 1150GS, would'nt say they cured the buffeting, maybe made it more bearable. I live in Armagh which is'nt too far from you so your welcome to take them and try em out.

Comet,if you did'nt mind i would like to see them.Im just outside Armagh.Have you a contact number:thumb2

Putney, are you trying to tell me your GS never goes over 70:nono I know,i was probably reading in KPH. I just hope those average speed cameras in Ayrshire are forward facing or im F**ked:blast

The Average Speed Cameras [SPECS] on the A77 in Ayrshire are forward facing, but the Police are well aware of speeding Bikers so keep your eyes out for unmarked cars. They use a black BMW. 05 Plate.

:nono

Do you just use the standard 12GS kit for the 12GSA? I see there are different kits for the 1150GSA but not the 12.

MrP

Got Tobies and an MRA screen and still looking for the SWEET SPOT !!!!
