Been loving my new-to-me GSA these last 10 days or so and other than a couple of very little "nearlys" had no dropping issues despite being a mere 5' 9" and not leng-legged.
Bike's fitted with the low seat, which I suspect helps a lot.
Anyway, dropped in to NOG to let them have the original pipe for my (part exed) K1200S and picked up the two other seats they threw in free whilst I was there - standard GS1200 seat and the original GSA seat.
Bought 'em home and, like you would, tried 'em on the bike in the garage. Total disaster! The GSA seat is 87 times more comfortable than the low seat. It's gorgeous. Vastly more supportive, wider and firmer without being hard.
But it makes the bike, even on the "normal" ESAII setting, way, way too high for me.
Will try the standard GS effort tomorrow when I'm out but still think I'm missing out...anyone got a 16th C rack?
