bugs in me cooler

that time of year again, bugs filling up me oil cooler fins

any ideas on a good product to shift the blighters?, am not bothered about pressure washing as I don't want to bend the fins etc

maybe some household type cleaner or other gloop that will turn them to mush?

I noticed a few dents on my oil cooler caused by insects so cleaned it up with soft brush and soapy water and then fitted a radiator guard, no problems since.

I made my own radiator guard from 1mm stainless woven wire mesh with a 5mm pitch. The bugs get sieved, its easy to clean and it cost me about £5.
