Hi All,

I'm at work at the mo so cant RTFM :) my low beam headlight bulb has blown on my 09gsa, i no its a H7 12V 55W bulb does anyone no if Halfords do these and is there a differance between the High and Low beam as i believe its the same spec above for both bulbs.

I thank you.

Yes Halfords do H7 bulbs , high and low beam are the same . I tend to use their 50 per cent brighter versions as they usually last longer .

I believe they are about £25 too, so go to your local autospares shop where you can pick them up for £5.99 :thumb2

I used some of the £6 cheapies from my local 'flog it cheap' shop and found they lasted about 3/4,000 miles on average and were fairly dim . Don't think GS's need help in having crap lighting .:augie Still got one where the glass is angled at about 5 degrees to the collar resulting in dazzling everybody else but illuminating the tops of trees nicely .

Halfords frequently do 2 for 1 deals on their lamps and so I buy them when these offers are on . Last pair cost me £19.99 and they usually last about 12/15,000 miles each so I reckon I'm still winning .:D

This is my experience over 130,000 miles of 1200GS biking so I've seen a few bulbs come and go . It may be different for others .

Go for HiD they make a real difference, but if you don't and want a free spare H7 I have some, drop me a mail :thumb2

Hi
Have just put philips 80% brighter h7 in mine and they do the biz,£27 from power bulbs includes 2 h7 and 2 sidelight bulbs, took one day to reach me on standard delivery:)

I've tried these premium "brighter" bulbs - don't think they're worth the dosh. bought some cheapo blue ones off fleabay which were ok and lasted well but have swapped to HID - really impressive.

h7

Got a full set of HID's from Les and haven't looked back since. I had a problem with my 09 GSA blowing bulbs but not any more. Well worth the investment. I'm just back from a 2,500 mile spin around Europe and the only complaints I had were from the boys up front complaining I was frightening the life out of them when they checked their mirrors and were visually assaulted by my lights!! :)

if you're buying bulbs from halfords, try and get a trade card.

HUGE discounts on bulbs IME. from pounds each down to a few pence.

Yup :thumb2

That said, the nice 50% brighter Bosch bulb I got (half price due to my trade card) recently lasted all of 100 miles before it died
