Hi folks

Mine used to eat them once every 6 months, but I put that down to vibration. One thing I did notice every so often, when I'd turn the ignition on the light would flash like a flash bulb - much brighter than usual but for a fraction of a second. I also thought that was a contributory factor to its bulb consumption.

you might save money converting to HID ... no filaments to blow ;-)

Ever seen a vehicle with its HID burner out? Driving down the street you see car halogen headlight bulbs, fog light bulbs etc blown all the time. I have never (yet) seen a HID equipped car running on one headlight cause the other has blown

bulb blowing

Septic,
the headlight shouldnt come on with the ignition, only when the engine is started.Maybe a can/software issue.Dealer diag.Good luck!

Not sure there is a reason. My '05 lost the dip beam at 9k miles/never again at the current 40k. My '06 lost the dip beam bulb at 8.9k and never again at the current 20k. I have an '07 now and am wondering when it will happen.:D

I should mention that in all those miles those were the only problems.:thumb

Happy holidays to all.
