I am a complete newbie to this software so please bear with me if I ask some pretty dumb questions.

Just today I have downloaded the app onto an old Google Pixel 4a phone that I no longer use. There is no sim card in the phone and I'd like to keep it that way if possible. If data is needed then I can hotspot from my main phone or install an e-sim.

I entered the Garmin co-ordinates for a couple of points into the app and was quite happy with the suggested routes so would like to explore more.

To explain the thread title and the reason for my question. I take part in two photographic rallies every year, one which visits 24 locations and the other 15. The waypoints for the rally are downloaded from the organisers website to ones desktop as a .gpx file which then can be imported into Basecamp, routes created then sent to my Zumo.
My question therefore is; is there a way that I can import the .gpx file (with all 24 or 15 points) into the My Route app en masse? The thought of inputting thirty-nine sets of co-ordinates manually is pretty unappealing to be honest but I would very much like to be able to plan routes on the app to compare to the Garmin software.

At the moment I don't plan on sending any routes from the app to my Zumo but that might change in the future if I gel with the system.

I have managed to upload a batch of waypoints to MRA Route Lab as POI's on my laptop but need to figure out now how to incorporate them into a route.

Hi Aidan its a bit weird. Start a new route and give it a name. Go to the menu bar to the left of the map and go down to POI's tick the Rally POI's in your library and go to the map and zoom until you se one.

Click on the Cross and add to your route as a waypoint.

The missus is shouting at me to go shopping if you get stuck PM me later and I'll talk you through it :D Hope the noggin is well again.

Cheers Marcus

Thanks for that Marcus. I'm finding that it's not quite as intuitive as I was hoping/expecting. Do I have to have a subscription in order to navigate the route on my phone?

The noggin and the rib are all fully healed now but DVLANI won't let me drive any vehicle at all. As I depend on my licence for my livelihood I have no choice but to take legal advice to see if I can challenge their unreasonable decision.

Sorry to hear that Aidan with a bit of luck sense will prevail. I think you do need a subscription to navigate the route. I got it when they were doing an offer a couple of years ago. But I think you can do a two week trial to evaluate the software. I like it because I can use it on tour more easily than Basecamp for route planning/adjustment. The phone navigation is pretty good now too. But handling Poi's could do with a bit of work.
