Just fitted the Maplins Bullet Camera to my GSA anyone got any Ideas for a Lens Cap its 26mm in diameter.

I have an RF concepts bullet camera, I wrap it with self amalgamating tape, partly to conceal it's shinyness and partly to slightly increase the diameter. Then I found a plastic cover from B&Q which looks like a walking stick end can't remember exactly what is was, possibly to fit the end of some dowel but if you look around there you'll see what I mean.

I also have the RF Concepts bullet cam which I have used on my GSXR 750 for track days, brilliant. Want to use it on my GS, would you mind telling me where you fit your bullet cam, mic, and Camcorder please Tim.

John I fixed mine using the bracket supplied with the Camera under the Screen fixing brackets I used three self tapping screws. I havent sorted the mic yet but I intend to keep my camcorder in the tank bag.

Sorry John just read your reply and see you where asking Tim I will get me coat.

I'll do some pictures tomorrow hopefully.

Camcorder mounts on handlebar via a RAM mount

Bullet camera is mounted on the RH front screen bolt with a small clamp, you'll see what I mean from the photo.

The microphone is very sensitive, mine is in a small block of foam in a plastic film canister wrapped in a rag and fitted under the back of the fuel tank!!
The sound from this set up is awesome :thumb

Thanks very much, look forward to seeing pics. It is a great system isn't it.

Right, here's a few pics of my set up which works very well.

The blue bit, is some high density foam to help soak up vibration.

Self amalgamating tape makes it a little less conspicuous, may isolate from vibration and increases the dia to fit both the clamp and lens cover.

It's a bit dark but you can see whare the ram mount clamps onto the handlebar, I use the RAM extension which brings the camcorder up to a good height.
Trouble is, it's easy to rewind and watch the last set of twistys in the Atlas mountains whilst riding through the next set. A bad habit which I should really quit before it's too late.

And the mic in some foam, in a film canister which gets wrapped in a wooly sock and shoved under the tank. It's all high tech with my installations :D
