The worst bit is waiting for things like powder coating and painting as these take the most time. Parts availability for these bikes is generally very good, to be honest I buy most of them from BMW I get 10% off which doesn't sound much but it's more than motobins and motor works give for genuine parts. For example the rear mudguard was brand new from BMW,arrived in a few days,was already primed and I know it will be good quality and fit exactly

it was £90 inc vat, not so bad really. Rear wiring harness was genuine bmw and £30 ish, it looks great and is much better than cleaning and repairing the old one.
