Hi Guys
I see that Bumot now make panniers that fit directly onto the 1300 GSA mounts. Anyone out there got them for their GSA, how do they look, do they fit well? I have used them on my 1250 GSA and really like them, contemplating changing to the new GSA and would like to use them instead of the BMW panniers. Any feedback welcome.

Plenty of pictures on Bumot website .
But if you currently have a set of Bumot panniers , they won’t fit on the 1300 GSA mounting points , as the new Bumot panniers which are specific to the GSA come with pre-installed mounts

I have the Bumot panniers that fit directly on the new R1300 GSA racks. Brilliant kit, used on three tours already.

Both Bumot and Wunderlich do a kit to fit a rack similar system to the R1250 GSA, so you should be able to use your original panniers.

According to Bumot my existing BMW 1250 GSA panniers cannot be used on the 1300 GSA. The top box can with the appropriate plate, Bumot make new panniers for the new GSA that fit directly onto the GSA mounts and I think that is the way I will go if I buy the new GSA. Had a test ride today on the ASA version, nearly sold on the idea?

Didn’t I say that in post #2 ? 😀

Yes you did say that in your post, and I was aware that the Bumot panniers for the 1250 GSA did not fit the 1300 GSA. I was responding to Welsley regarding the availability of frames. I was just asking if someone had first hand experience of using the Bumot panniers fitted directly to the mounts on the new GSA. I like the Bumot pannier set up, and I think the new BMW panniers look good on the bike, but I think the Bumot panniers are better value for money

Hi there. I am looking at a set of these. Not madly keen on the look of the bmw panniers, but keen to use the standard mounts. Are the panniers wider than the bars? Cheers Mick

The Bumot panniers that go on the OEM racks of the R1300 GSA are 98cm wide. This is narrower than the handlebars and engine bars. And narrower than the BMW OEM panniers.
