The G650X series bikes are superb machines but sadly lacking are bungee/strap forward mounting points if you want to strap a bag/tent etc on to the pillion seat 
I acquired a couple of straps with ready sewn in loop ends. I had a couple spare from the mounting kit supplied with the BMW rear bag, but some of the new BMW's have straps like this when supplied new in their crates ....
I cut the straps 'to length' and punched a hole ... then sealed the end of the strap where I had cut and punched the hole, so it wouldn't fray
Then, as per the photo's, fastened the straps under the top mounting of the frame and secured them under the mountings for the fuel tank
Instant mounting point now installed. When not in use they will fold back under the seat and be hidden ... clever eh
