Burgman Bimble

Tarka, you are always ready to lambast others for their choice of bike or gear. If I'm not mistaken, you refused point blank to lead a ride out if anyone had daytime running lights or hi-viz kit because .... well, I'm not quite sure why.

I don't think you can have even a little diva strop when others criticise your own personal choices. :D

Spot on:thumb....If you can't take it, don't give it.....btw.....I hear the new twat suit for scooters is a cardigan:nenau

Had a good lookover a 11plate Burgie yesterday.....................nope they didn't have much appeal, each to their own:D

Do they do Camo cardigans?:nenau How about knotted hankies with skulls printed on them :D

Sigh...if only they did....how happy I`d be.
As long as the cardi had leather elbow patches, that is.

The only thing missing then would be olive drab coloured Werthers Originals and a flat cap large enough to conceal a crash helmet.
(although I did see one of the 1950s/1960s 'deerstalker' crash hats at the vintage show yesterday....:augie)

Mind you,I`d still rather have any of that than a 'proper' TwatSuit,a dayglo knobber costume or a humpty backed leather romper suit... :D

I saw this at the weekend and thought of you Steve.

It's like Lambrini for the scooter days :D

Bellisimo! :clap

A pleasant glass or two of that from my underseat wine chiller once arrived at my destination. :jager

Just returned from visiting friends in Porthmadog, and used the opportunity to do the ride as described, on the way there, and back!
What a great track - perfect weather, perfect scenery.
Met this old boy at the Lake Vernwy dam. He's 82, lives in Liverpool and still rides his scooter through the welsh mountains every chance he gets.
Hope I'm still doing that when I get to his age!
Thanks again for pointing out this great track Tarka.

My mate has the same model and we are going to collect a burgman 400 on saturday for his dad. I found the riding position funny at first with your legs out in front of you, and the wind on your back pressing you down. He has tried different screens and with the taller screen it is a lot better. It even has a power button so you can get away form the lights rather sharply. I was suprised how much comfort there is and like you say they can give a good few bikes a run for there money

And here is the Burgman 400S that we went to seek from Barsley. It is an austrailian spec one that was registered in the uk from new (DONT ASK ME WHY OR HOW)You can tell by the reflectors on the side, and the black wheels, fork legs and final drive covers, the same spec as America. It is the only red one that i have seen. Unless you lot know better. It is my mates dads bike and he is 74 and likes it as he can put his bowls under the seat when he goes for a game. And it is a good bit lighter than the 600

I just bought a Honda SH300 scooter, its bloody brilliant, I bought it to do the London Knowledge on but have ended up using it everyday for everything including 200+ miles per week to work and back, saving a packet on the liquid gold at the fuel pumps (80+mpg), and enjoying very much the look on the boy racers faces when they have been humiliated in front of their mates in the race from the traffic lights :D
