Hi all,
boxingtwins here Im new to this site
I'm currently looking for an 1150 GS and any advice would be greatly appreciated
I am looking at 2 currently
The first is a 01 in totally mint cond with a documented 14k on the clock
new tyres & battery, panniers,autocom and fully dealer serviced(private sale no warranty) only problem is that it does'nt have ABS or heated grips
The second is also 01 in excellent cond but not quite as good (approved used BMW in dealers) with 52k kilometers (32.5k miles) for the same price €8500 euros and has luggage new tyres engine bars ABS and Heated grips
Which should I go for ???
How good is the ABS??
Is it reliable or is it another thing to go wrong?(I've never had it before so I dont know)
Are there any more potential mile-related costs (I've been told of clutches giving up at 35k costng quite a bit to replace)??

Don't know anything about them 1150's But I think the general rule is "buy with your heart rather than your head"

Servo ABS 53 plate 1150 with 36,000 miles. ABS cut in once when I really needed it and saved me from an "off"

No problems with it at all.

Some peole say that you can stop faster in the dry without it but you have the option to switch it off if you wish.
