Guys i was wondering.... it seems the bikes in the states are somewhat cheaper than here in oz. IE the gs 800 is 10,500 usd and in oz it will be around 18,000. What are the other concerns apart from ADR's that might affect me buying a bike in the states and riding it through europe and bringing it home??? to oz. Obviously the paperwork on arriving in oz and having it comply and the tax etc. I have shipped a bike to europe before and brought it back to oz, so im not worried about that, just the buying in another country complications........

Complicated one this...... To ride it through europe you would first have to register it in "A" country. I spose that would be the States, in which case you would have to have it registered, taxed & insured in your name prior to it leaving the States....:nenau

Check with Sierra BMW (http://www.sierrabmw.bigstep.com/homepage.html,) they may be able to offer advice but be aware there may still be unforseen pitfalls....

how much money will you save if you buy a bike in USA ship to europe ride south then ship to OZ including fuel tyres services food n beers n beers or is it not about saving money and having the crack.:)
